The Golden Circle Tour In Iceland

The Golden Circle Tour In Iceland

The most popular day tour which offers some of Iceland highlights and gives insight into Icelandic history and the peoples cultural heritage. Includes pick up at your accommodation in the Reykavík area by an English speaking guide and the route is to Thingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss.

The Althing, the national parliament of Iceland, was established at Þingvellir in 930 by the viking settlers, and held its sessions there for over 800 years, until 1798. Historical and a unique beautiful natural place which also gives you opportunity to see the effects of continental drift between North-America and Euroasian plates.

A Geothermal area and should allow you to witness Iceland´s most active geyser which spouts water and steam approximately every 10 minutes or so.

A spectacular place in the river Hvítá and second most powerful waterfall in Europe. The waterfall is as spectacular during winter as it is in the summer time.

Duration of this trip is around approx 7-8 hours and drop off is at your accommodation or at your request in the Reykjavík area. Note that this tour does not include lunch or snacks but we will stop at suitable locations for refreshments.  Suitable cloths and shoes is another good thing to have in mind.

Extra stops such as photo opportunities will be at the discretion of your guide depending on time constraints, weather and road conditions.
